One thing I was really looking forward to for this trip was a chance to visit my brother in Portland. He’s lived there for several years and I’ve never been able to make it out to see him. As luck would have it though, he just got an awesome new job at Overstock.com and is moving from Portland to Salt Lake City today.
It’s… kind of a bummer. 🙁
Anyway, I’m still looking forward to visiting the city. I hear they have great doughnuts, the world’s smallest park, and some pretty sweet flower gardens. I don’t know how much time I’ll have to take in the sights, I am there to attend OSCON after all, but I’m going to try and see what I can.
