I’m trying out a couple of offline blog editors for Gnome.
First up is Gnome Blog. This little application is simple with a one-screen interface and no menus.
One curious item is that the docs seem to indicate that it is a panel applet, but when I installed the version in the Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) repositories it shows up in the Internet menu and acts like an application (no applet that I can see).
Here’s a screenshot:

I had to upload the image manually, since gnome-blog-poster didn’t do it correctly, and there are no options for assigning tags and categories to posts. Other than those, it seems to work ok for simple posts.
